1 John 2:28 – And now, little children, abide in Him, that when He appears, we may have confidence and not be ashamed before Him at His coming.
It is a time we are waiting for the coming of the Lord Jesus. His coming is very very near. God is expecting something from every child of God.
- We should have confidence.
- We should not be ashamed.
He will appear soon.
You are well informed about His coming. Signs of His coming as told by Him have come to pass. Only the time and hour we do not know. When Jesus appears you will have the peace of God.
Praying will bring confidence; Faith in Jesus will bring confidence; Hope that we have in His coming will bring confidence, but the greatest of them all is that accepting Jesus as your saviour and getting saved will bring confidence of going with Him to eternity.
Bible in the Bible is Psalms. There are historical books in the Bible wherein God spoke to men. There are Prophetical books in the Bible were God used men to speak to men. In Psalms it is Man speaking to God; mostly it is worship to God.
Psalm 25 is Psalm of Confidence. It speaks about lifting up the soul to the Lord. It also speaks that we should not be ashamed. It asks the Lord for His ways and paths. It requests the Lord to teach His truth every day. It talks about His tender mercies and His loving kindness. It asks for God’s salvation plan and forgiveness of sin. It speaks about His justice; it speaks about God’s faithfulness; it speaks about God’s deliverance to us from affliction and pain; it also speaks about redemption from all our troubles and that one can be confident and not be ashamed.
Let us pray and prepare ourselves and be holy to stand with confidence and unashamed before the Lord when He comes. You may be weak in many things; you might have lost many things; but don’t lose the confidence to stand before the Lord. Amen.
