Know the heart of Jesus

Know the heart of Jesus

Matthew 11:6 – And blessed is he who is not offended because of Me.

When we are offended by others, how we are to overcome? We are living in a time when we need the grace of God, because we get offended in different ways. We need to counter attack every situation with the Word of God. We love God and we are the children of God and nothing can stand against us.

Jesus said that no one should be offended because of Him. What made Him to say this? Today as believers we stand for the truth and for Jesus’ name and people speak so many things against us and our belief, we might get offended for that.

When Jesus say ‘No’ to something, we get offended and disturbed, but He has a purpose for it.  If you want a change in your life, a transformation in your life, if you want to see better things happening in your life, if you want to get to higher spiritual level, then you should understand Jesus’ heart. When we are in difficult situations, we start asking questions.

Matthew 11:7-11 – As they departed, Jesus began to say to the multitudes concerning John: “What did you go out into the wilderness to see? A reed shaken by the wind? But what did you go out to see? A man clothed in soft garments? Indeed, those who wear soft clothing are in kings’ houses. But what did you go out to see? A prophet? Yes, I say to you, and more than a prophet. For this is he of whom it is written: ‘Behold, I send My messenger before Your face, Who will prepare Your way before You.’ Assuredly, I say to you, among those born of women there has not risen one greater than John the Baptist; but he who is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.

People who are in soft garments are people who seek comforts. You may not understand why there are problems and difficulties, but Jesus cannot forget the gifts in you. We might be weak and disturbed, but there is a greater gift inside you – the love towards God. Don’t be offended by anything because you have a greater purpose in your life.

Philippians 1:9-11 – And this I pray, that your love may abound still more and more in knowledge and all discernment, that you may approve the things that are excellent, that you may be sincere and without offence till the day of Christ, being filled with the fruits of righteousness which are by Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.

You have something greater inside you. Don’t focus on earthly things, look above, and go little higher. This is not the time to make earthly establishments; Invest in Heavenly Kingdom. Nothing is impossible with God. You love towards God should increase day by day, more and more.

You need to come back to God and increase in that love. Don’t be judgemental, don’t block anyone’s way. You need to take out all hindrance in your life and grow in Christ Jesus.

The coming of the Lord is very soon. If you cannot do it, stay out of the way, don’t stand as a hindrance. Pray that, ‘Lord I don’t want to offend anyone and I should not be offended by others’.

If somebody is offending your spiritual life and prayer life, fast and pray. Prayer life is not a habit; it is our responsibility. Break all the traditions and customs and pray asking God to do something new today.

Gospel needs to be taken to many unsaved people all around the world. Think what Jesus is thinking about you. God wants to see the purpose in your life fulfilled.

Don’t offend others, don’t be a hindrance to others. Let us be a blessing to others. Let us stand for Jesus Christ; He wants us to be a blessing for this generation. Amen.
