Luke 1:50 – And his mercy is on them that fear him from generation to generation.
We love to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ by praising God and giving Him all glory. Birth of Jesus Christ is special to us because it brought God’s mercy upon us.
Mercy of God is upon them who fear Him. Mercy of God was revealed and proclaimed to us with the birth of Christ.
Luke 1: 54-55 – He hath helped his servant Israel, in remembrance of his mercy; as he spoke to our fathers, to Abraham, and to his seed for ever.
God has poured out His mercy into the earth through the birth of Jesus.
Luke 1:58 – And her neighbours and her cousins heard how the Lord had showed great mercy upon her; and they rejoiced with her.
Christmas message is for all around us, our neighbours, our unsaved relatives and our friends. Mercy of God is visible and revealed to everyone around the earth.
Luke 1:72 –To perform the mercy promised to our fathers, and to remember his holy covenant.
The mercy of God is to be remembered from generation to generation. The message of Christmas is not just putting up decorations and stars, but experiencing the mercy of God.
Luke 1:78 – Through the tender mercy of our God; whereby the dayspring from on high hath visited us.
Acts 1: 10-11 – And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; Which also said, ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, who is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.
The birth of Jesus Christ is connected to His second coming. Christmas not only proclaims the birth of Christ; but also the coming of the King of Kings. He is going to reign with the Church for eternity.
Luke 1:65 – And fear came on all that dwelt round about them: and all these sayings were noised abroad throughout all the hill country of Judaea.
If we fear God, His mercy will come upon you and our neighbours and people around us will fear the Lord. If we have fear of God and mercy of God, whatever the situation is around you, the presence of God will surely bring a great change.
Luke 1:74 – That he would grant unto us, that we being delivered out of the hand of our enemies might serve him without fear.
If you have the mercy of God; you will serve Him without any fear. Mary is called blessed among the women because she accepted God’s will in an extraordinary way beyond any human expectation. She took over the work of the Father God with dedication & sacrifice. God’s mercy is the key to complete this great commission. Do the extraordinary and you will see the mercy of God and the favour of God in your life.
