Who Am I

Luke 20:20-25 MSG –
He knew they were laying for him and said, “Show me a coin. Now, this engraving, who does it look like and what does it say?”
“Caesar,” they said.
Jesus said, “Then give Caesar what is his and give God what is his.”

The context of this passage is about the tax paying. Paying your tax is rightful act of every citizen in any country. But Jesus answering the religion scholars & high priests cited some key things for us as a child of God to follow.

Looking at the The Passion Translation we will get a clear picture
Luke 20:25 TPT – Jesus said, “Precisely. The coin bears the image of the Emperor Caesar, and you should give back to Caesar all that belongs to him. But you bear the image of God. So give back to God all that belongs to him.”

Let’s Begin it here we bear the image of God.
Let’s see our identity in Christ which is unique and it’s purchased by the shedding of His precious blood for us.

We should know how this works. Our old identity is Co-crucified with Christ. And New identity is engraved with Jesus Christ our Lord the source and Love Provider.

Galatians 2:20 TPT – My old identity has been co-crucified with Christ and no longer lives. And now the essence of this new life is no longer mine, for the Anointed One lives his life through me—we live in union as one! My new life is empowered by the faith of the Son of God who loves me so much that he gave himself for me, dispensing his life into mine!

Jesus Said Live Out this God- Created Identity in the fullest.
Luke 6:35 MSG – “I tell you, love your enemies. Help and give without expecting a return. You’ll never—I promise—regret it. Live out this God-created identity the way our Father lives toward us, generously and graciously, even when we’re at our worst. Our Father is kind; you be kind.

We were once’s strangers to this identity but no more we are engrafted to live in this world with authority of that sonship.
Ephesians 2:12 AMP – remember that at that time you were separated from Christ [excluded from any relationship with Him], alienated from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers to the covenants of promise [with no share in the sacred Messianic promise and without knowledge of God’s agreements], having no hope [in His promise] and [living] in the world without God.

We have regained our identity through Jesus Christ and that’s why we can boldly claim in Him that we live and function and have our identity in full flow & no limitations to excel in Him.
Acts 17:28 TPT – It is through him that we live and function and have our identity; just as your own poets have said, ‘Our lineage comes from him.’

If this identity has to be completely operated in us then all that we need to is to do what pleases Him. He likes us to do what he thinks we need to do.Don’t be carried away by intuition but clear conviction born from Love.
Romans 7:22 TPT – Truly, deep within my true identity, I love to do what pleases God.

We need to break out those selfish desires that hinders us and will be able to work our identity in Lord Jesus stronger and higher excavating into new heights of spiritual life.
Romans 13:14 TPT – Instead fully immerse yourselves into the Lord Jesus, the Anointed One, and don’t waste even a moment’s thought on your former identity to awaken its selfish desires.

Now our identity is we are God’s People living in the today and following the tomorrow with eternal identity in Jesus Christ our Lord.

1 Peter 2:10 NLT – Once you had no identity as a people;now you are God’s people.
Once you received no mercy;
now you have received God’s mercy.”

Stay in Him
Let His Mercy cover you and maintain this God Given identity to the ultimate with no other influences.

Shalom
